In a rather rare turn of events, we spent our weekend not in the forests, but at Marina Barrage for Earth Fest 2018! It was an awesome experience interacting with everyone, sharing about our precious biodiversity and learning about fantastic environmental initiatives from other booths.
As Earth Fest was all about championing sustainable development and showcasing environmental efforts, we focused on why biodiversity is important in Singapore’s mostly urbanized environment, and why we should cherish and protect our nature reserves. A biodiversity pop quiz challenged participants on their knowledge of our native flora and fauna, photographs of flamboyant fowls and camouflaged critters inspired awe and delight, while specimens from the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum revealed the intricate relationships between humans and wildlife.
For those who came in groups or with family, our hand-made photo frame was a great opportunity to capture a memory of their fun day out at Earth Fest. Check out some of the photos below!
A big thank you to everyone who came down to our booth and making Earth Fest an exciting day out for us. If you had enjoyed what you saw at the table, do join us for an upcoming Love MacRitchie walk. After all, experiencing and learning about nature is always best done, well, in nature itself!
